For a company from Austria, Scanmotion.de created a variety of 360-degree product photos of household appliances.

Household appliances to touch, visible all around, with functions and possibilities not recognizable in normal product photos – this was the task that Scanmotion successfully implemented with high-quality 360-degree product photos of white goods from the household sector. The standard capture for this type of 360-degree product photography is 24 photos. If, as with the household appliances, functions and possibilities of the products are to be shown in an experiential way, additional shots are added to the 24 product photos. "Scanmotion does not set a limit on the number; rather, it is important to be able to show the functions well, which would not be possible with a limitation," says Marco Sewerin, Managing Director at Scanmotion. Through the 360-degree product photos, devices from the white goods sector, such as vacuum cleaners and kitchen appliances, can now be viewed experientially before purchase. With the additional trick shots taken for some products, expansion and conversion options, as well as functions of the individual devices, are impressively demonstrated. All of this is controllable by the user and, of course, available on all mobile devices.

The items were captured, as is now standard in 360-degree product photography, with 24 high-resolution shots each. From these shots, the ready-to-embed images were then produced. At Scanmotion, a standard process after the capture includes optimization in the areas of color, contrast, and sharpness, followed by image cutting. The 360-degree shots created in this way are then ready for direct integration into the shop system, according to the customer's wishes.

360-degree product photos are captured in HTML5 JavaScript and are visible on all mobile devices. However, Scanmotion also creates compact Flash files with up to 4 axes upon request.
