Scanmotion.de, specialist for 3D product images in online shops, expands its segment to include the display of 3D images on iPhone and iPad.
The company from Hanover has been creating 3D images / 360-degree images of products for online shops for over 2 years. Until now, they have exclusively relied on Flash. Due to increasingly frequent customer requests, Scanmotion now also offers the possibility to display 3D images on any iPhone and iPad without installing any software. As with the Flash players, customers are provided with ready-to-embed files including a standard player. The products can then be moved and controlled on the iPhone using the usual touchscreen technology with fingers. On any other PC, it is controlled as usual with the mouse. For internet shop operators, it no longer matters whether their customers are surfing via PC or iPad.
Mr. Sewerin, Scanmotion says: “The internet is developing at an unimaginable speed. Online shopping in particular is growing enormously every year. With the possibility of experiencing any product from the hardware (shoes, electronics, technical items, etc.) and fashion sectors in a tangible way, a new dimension has been reached. Until now, we could all only look at pictures of products. For 2 years now, we have been enabling internet shop operators to show their products as tangible 3D images. The great success and positive feedback from our customers confirms this for us. Due to developments on the web, it was now time to enable 3D images for iPhone and iPad as well. We have now successfully implemented this. More and more larger and smaller shops are applying the possibilities of 3D images and are pleased with the positive developments in their shop. 3D images will soon become a standard in internet shops. In shops that already use 3D images today and thus achieve special attention among users, this type of innovative product view has already become indispensable. With our new 3D images for iPhone and iPad, everyone can now shop anywhere and touch the products as they wish.”
