Augmented Reality Funding for Cultural Institutions

With the new funding program “dive in”, cultural institutions have the opportunity to counter the negative effects of the Corona crisis now and in the future through the use of digital media such as Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. The program aims to support contemporary cultural institutions from all artistic disciplines as well as memorial sites, libraries, socio-cultural centers, archives with archival materials in artistic disciplines, and festivals with funding. The goal is to implement innovative ideas and projects for digital exchange by the end of next year, as well as to test formats for reaching new audiences and experiment with new digital applications. Funding opportunities of up to 200,000 euros are available for this purpose. The projects must provide secured financing of 10% of the total costs through their own and/or third-party funds. Applications must be submitted by September 30, 2020.
