ScanMotion Creates 360-Degree Product Views in JavaScript

Scanmotion from Hannover, a specialist for 360-degree product views, now creates 360-degree product images in JavaScript on up to 4 levels. The 360-degree scan service provider once again expands the possibilities in the field of 3D product images for online shops with a new license player for its customers.

With the new player for 3D product images, which is available for customers under license, Scanmotion now offers a 360-degree product view without distracting buttons and on up to 4 levels with its scanning services. This gives Scanmotion customers another option to present 360-degree product images on mobile devices. The capabilities of the new player go far beyond previous ones. 360-degree views on one axis are already standard. Here, the product is photographed rotating around its own axis in a multitude of images. Scanmotion now creates 360-degree images that can be captured on up to 4 levels. In addition to the usual 360-degree view, it is now also possible to look into an object from above, or to view things like shoes from below. Special effects for technical products are also conceivable with this new player to better demonstrate functions. Despite the up to 4 levels and the associated many photos, which are created in high resolution at Scanmotion, the new player has only a very short loading time. No plug-in is required. The 360-degree product views created with the new JavaScript player can be viewed and rotated on common PC browsers as well as on mobile devices, including iPad and iPhone.

Mr. Sewerin, Scanmotion says: “With the new JavaScript player, effects in the product view can be shown that were previously only possible in full 3D. This allows customers to view products on the internet in a way that was previously only possible in stores. The product views, as experienced online shop operators know, are among the most important aspects of the entire shop. If these are not created in a high and preferably innovative way, as is possible with 3D product images, for example, online shop operators have fewer and fewer chances to assert themselves on the web. Even Amazon has now recognized the advantage of 360-degree product images and is creating these innovative views in the fashion sector at high speed. Given Amazon’s pioneering role in internet shipping, one can probably assume that 360-degree product views will quickly develop into an added value that users will no longer want to do without. And this not only in the fashion sector, but also in other areas such as technical articles.”

With the new JavaScript license player, it is now also possible to change many things afterwards, for example during a shop update, subsequently and by yourself. The article in the 3D product image can now be easily rotated 360 degrees with a swipe over the image, and the magnifying function, whose strength is continuously adjustable, is activated with a simple mouse click. With this extremely simple operation, even a user who encounters a 3D photo for the first time can immediately recognize how it works.

The company from Hannover has been creating 3D product photos / 360-degree images of products for online shops for over 3 years. For the output of 3D images, Scanmotion offers several options, such as JavaScript, visible on every iPhone and iPad, without installing software, or even Flash. Regardless of which player Scanmotion’s customers choose, they always receive finished files for integration into their respective shop or website.
