Sandberg, a successful gadget provider from Denmark, showcases its innovative products in 3D with original texture on its new website. The products are scanned by the 3D product photo specialist Scanmotion from Hanover.

Scanmotion from Hanover, which already created the 3D product images for the previous Sandberg website, is also supporting the Danish gadget provider for their new Sandberg presentation.
Mr. Sewerin, CEO of Scanmotion, explains: It is always a challenge, but also a lot of fun, to scan Sandberg products and be able to present an absolutely realistic-looking 3D view.
Scanmotion is a scanning specialist for 3D product images in all currently possible areas. Until now, 3D product representations were mostly modeled on screen by specialists using appropriate software in a long, painstaking process. The result was often products whose ‘artificiality’ was noticeable. Scanmotion takes a more contemporary and considerably more cost-effective approach with its 3D scanners. At Scanmotion, any product is captured using a 3D scanner. The acquired data is processed into the necessary 3D form, ensuring that the final form is not only manageable in file size but can also be viewed on about 98% of all computers worldwide using the currently common Flash technology, without requiring any special software. After creating the 3D form, the original 3D texture captured during the 3D scanning process is applied to the form. The result is a product that is indistinguishable from the original. After completion and optimization of the Flash file, which is delivered together with a player, a file of about 300 KB, or even smaller for special applications, is available. As a special feature, Scanmotion emphasizes that the images are in a secure closed Flash, thus effectively countering image theft on the internet.
